I'm really into this guys artwork right now. I recently read his graphic novel "Black Hole" which is really great. Very nightmare-ish looking drawings.




Six months ago today I started a relationship with an awesome girl Nicolaaaa. It really feels like it's been a lot shorter than that! Its really hard to believe it's been so long. I Couldn't be happier right now though. Happy anniversary! :)


I'd just like to mention how insanely saddened I was when I heard that Corey Haim had died. The Lost Boys is one of my favourite movies of all time which he was amazing in. R.I.P. Corey.

Just wanting to post something very hastily as my charger is nowhere to be seen and I have about 8 minutes of battery left!

So the only big thing happening for me recently was turning 20! And as strange as I thought it would be it's turned out to be not so bad. I feel like the same person I was as a teenager only slightly more focused (the only downside so far has been the constant teasing from my girlfriend about being an old man now).

I really don't have time to post much so I'll just post a clip of a movie I seen which I found to be really interesting and kind of inspiring.

The movie is Waking Life and it is an animated movie which explores a number of characters views of life and takes on philosophies in a very interesting way which is very different from any other movie I've ever watched.

I'm really running low on battery so I'll just post a clip.

Fox "News"

Hearing the name Sarah Palin side by side with Fox is like a match made in hell. I know I'm not an American and I can very easily avoid seeing this sham of a "fair and balanced" news programme, but it just never ceases to amaze me how truly awful it is and how totally unfair and unbalanced it is.

Having Sarah Palin on there is the perfect match. It's sickening really. But after finding out this bit of news I found these awesome video's of Bill Clinton going to town on a Fox News interviewer. As angry as it makes me to see this guy try to manipulate him the way he does, the response from Clinton is classic.








And just to prove my point again, here's a video of Bill O'Reilly.



Disgusting.

And again I'm obviously not an American and this is not a news channel I have to watch at all. But watching that, even from a British persons perspective, is truly angering and just plain wrong. It's also scary that channels like this influence a huge number of American citizens into believing exactly what they tell them. Truly terrifying stuff.

So yeah it's only a matter of time until Sarah Palin starts her new job with Fox News. And from the standard of their employees seen in the above video's, I think she'll be the perfect fit.

2010

Making it one of my many new years resolutions to start using this more frequently (One of the others is to live more interestingly so that updating this can be more interesting!)

Not wanting to go back and try and list everything I've done since I neglected this though. I think I'll make 2010 the clean break to start from.

As I'm now back at work it will shortly begin to take over most of my time again. This really is a depressing thought. But I'm planning on little projects for my free time which will help keep me sane. These might come to nothing or they might be something I really go with and try to make something of. Time will tell.

These little projects are going to be basically all over the place! Wanting to really get into drawing again and try and be motivated to do it like I used to be. It's been a really long time since I have.

I'm attempting to write very brief outlines of stories right now. It's really surprisingly refreshing being able to do this again without feeling weird about it. It's great to put ideas you have into writing and be able to create something from it. This is more about just having my imagination be scattered into something that can take the form of some kind of story. Maybe not something I will be sharing with anyone else but depending on how I really feel about it as it goes on I'll maybe put snippets of things up for whoever is interested in reading it and giving any kind of opinion or advice about.

I plan mainly to focus on writing music this year. This is something I have only ever been involved in as part of a group and have never actually wrote anything on my own. Until now anyway. For a month or so I've worked on one idea I've had and tried to perfect what I've wrote. Hopefully I can get something completely finished and maybe have something for people to hear eventually.

As you can see my ideas are all over the place! My plan is essentially just to get the creative juices flowing and be excited to just have an artistic outlet again. I have no excuses not to anymore and plan to balance everything just right this year to stop being lazy.

So this is what I will hopefully have in store for myself in 2010!

As for this blog, I'm definitely going to try and update a lot more. It's something I don't feel totally comfortable about doing. Something about writing posts like these that creeps me out. However I plan to overcome this fear and do my best to keep it up to date!

I'll most likely hype up movies I think look awesome, rave about movies I really like and rant about albums, old and new, by bands I love.

Oh and there will definitely be plenty of political rantings.

So that's basically it for anyone who's interested enough to read this!
